Welcome to the By Zoe Beauty Academy. I’m Zoe, a salon owner and now accredited nail educator in Cardiff. I’ve been in the nail game for nearly 6 years now, starting off by offering acrylics from my uni room, to now running a busy salon in the centre of Cardiff with five other talented techs.
I remember feeling lost after completing my nail training, I knew I was qualified but I had no confidence!
That’s why I’ve created my academy, to run in person, small group classes to give my students all the knowledge and confidence they need to run a successful nail business.

Who is your educator?
When I’m not teaching, I run my busy, Cardiff based salon, Ginger By Zoe. Having worked independently, in someone else’s salon and now to running my own, I have a plethora of experience that I want to share with other nail techs, whether you’re a complete newbie or you’ve been doing nails for a while but you need a brush up on your skills.
My accredited courses cover everything you need to begin to offer that service to your clients. If there is spare time at the end of a session, I am always happy to share any nail art tips and tricks with the group! Here are some of the sets I’ve done recently- but don’t worry, if a plain colour or french is more your vibe, I can teach you how to perfectly execute them every time!

Will I receive a qualification after completing a course?
All of our ABT assured courses will give you a qualification once you have passed your case studies.
What qualifications does the educator hold?
Zoe holds qualifications in: AET Level 3 Teaching, gel polish, E-file, builder gel, acrylic, hard gel and gel extensions..
Is one to one training available?
Yes! 1-1 training is available on request, please just contact me before buying your course for information on pricing.
Are nail art courses available?
Absolutely! Nail art is not a qualification so these are more of a workshop style session. These can be based on whatever you like, so drop me a message and we can work it out!
Do I need previous experience?
This depends on which course you are taking! For gel polish, no previous qualifications are needed.
For builder gel, you must have a gel polish qualification.
For e-file, you must have a gel polish qualification.
For hard gel, you must have a gel polish and e-file qualification.
For The Everything course, no previous experience is needed!
What happens if i fail my case studies?
Following completion of your course, you will have three months to complete your case studies. I will always give you constructive criticism on how to improve, and may not pass everything first time. If you fail to pass your case studies more than three times, further training may be needed. I will be there to offer you support until you are confident, but any extra training will incur a cost.
What do i need to bring?
Each course comes with a kit list of everything you will need to bring on the day.
Is there support available after i complete my training?
Yes! I have a Whatsapp group for each course for people to join once they’ve completed their training. I will always be happy to respond to any questions regarding your training or any support you may need!
do i need to bring a model?
No, all work will be completed on yourself and other students. If there’s an odd number of students, I will also be on hand to offer up my nails!
